Having just started working on this show at the school where I teach, I am really getting into the songs from Annie. Whilst the show has a certain stigma around it , one can’t help but be impressed by the complexities of Charles Strouse‘s score (who studied under composer Aaron Copeland!) and Martin Charnin‘s clever lyrics.
